We are working in partnership with Active Calderdale to support pupils in being active whenever possible and to embed physical activity into every part of the school day.

Active Travel
We are taking part in WOW – a year round walk to school challenge.
Every day pupils will use the travel checker website to record how they came to school. Pupils who have completed two active journeys a week for a month will be rewarded with a monthly badge. Pupils who ‘park and stride’ or ‘hop off’ will also be rewarded for being active for part of their journey. An active journey could be walking, cycling or park and stride (parking and walking part of the journey to school). We have installed a bike rack at the front of school to encouage children to cycle and scooter to school. In Years 4, 5 and 6 children take part in bike ability training.
