‘The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games gave us a once in a lifetime opportunity to inspire the nation to enjoy sport. The Government is determined to secure a significant and lasting legacy from the Games. Developing an enjoyment of sport and physical activity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle in children from an early age, are vital aspects of that’.
To support this, in March 2013, the Prime Minister announced a cross-Government programme providing significant additional funding for primary schools. Every state-funded school in the country with primary-aged pupils receives additional funding from an overall allocation per year, ring-fenced for sport and physical education (PE).
Between April 2020 and March 2021 we will receive £15,305.
Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Next Steps
Some of this year’s sports premium will be spent on increasing the number of children that reach the national standard.
We are taking part in WOW – a year round walk to school challenge.
Every day pupils will use the travel checker website to record how they came to school. Pupils who have completed two active journeys a week for a month will be rewarded with a monthly badge. Pupils who ‘park and stride’ or ‘hop off’ will also be rewarded for being active for part of their journey. An active journey could be walking, cycling or park and stride (parking and walking part of the journey to school).
