🔬 What Does Science Look Like at St Michael & All Angels?
At St Michael & All Angels, we inspire children to develop a sense of wonder about the world around them and the confidence to see themselves as successful young scientists. Through practical, hands-on learning and scientific enquiry, pupils are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas and discover the answers to their own "why?" moments.
Our science curriculum reflects our school vision. We promote resilience, responsibility and a thirst for knowledge, whilst nurturing children who are respectful of others, value diversity and care for the world around them.
Through a carefully planned progression of knowledge and skills, children develop a broad understanding of science and learn to think, question and work like scientists. From exploring the natural world in the Early Years to carrying out increasingly sophisticated investigations in Key Stage 2, pupils build the skills and confidence they need for future learning and beyond.
