A Strong Partnership with St Michael's Church, Shelf
As a proud Church of England school, we are blessed to enjoy a close and thriving relationship with St Michael's Church, Shelf. Our partnership is an important part of school life and helps to nurture the spiritual development, values and faith journey of our children.
🏛️ Learning Beyond the Classroom
Throughout the year, children visit St Michael's Church as part of their Religious Education curriculum, helping them develop a deeper understanding of Christianity through first-hand experiences and meaningful learning opportunities.
🎓 Celebrating Special Milestones
The church plays a central role in many of our key celebrations and services, including our much-loved Year 6 Leavers' Service, where we come together to reflect, give thanks and mark important moments in our school journey.
🙏 Worship Together
We are delighted to welcome members of St Michael's Church into school on a regular basis to lead and support Collective Worship. Their enthusiasm, experience and faith help bring Bible stories and Christian values to life for our children.
💬 Faith in Action
Church members also work alongside staff to enrich RE lessons, answer children's questions and share their own experiences of faith, helping pupils make meaningful connections between learning and real life.
🌍 Learning from Others
As part of our commitment to developing understanding, respect and appreciation of the wider world, we also welcome leaders and visitors from other Christian denominations and faith backgrounds to contribute to our daily worship and curriculum.
