'The school is a caring community, based on Christian values, where the needs of the pupils are at the heart of everything the school does.' OFSTED 2017.
Our school values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is "right" and "wrong", all people living in England are subject to its law.
The Key Values are:
•The rule of law
•Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
Should you feel that the school is not meeting this requirement, you should contact the school office and request to express your concerns with the Head teacher.
Likewise, if you feel that anyone working at the school is intentionally or otherwise undermining these values, you should report this to the Head teacher.
As a school we have adopted the ‘Values for Life’ and follow the National Curriculum and the agreed RE syllabus in Kirklees and Calderdale. We enrich and enliven the curriculum by providing our pupils with varied opportunities to earn in a variety of stimulating ways.
